The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System is working with Astorino and Associate Architect, HDR, to implement a $190M project that will streamline care by consolidating three separate medical centers to two. In addition to the new Ambulatory Care Center and Residential Villa complex, project components include:

A 180,000 SF, four-story Behavioral Health Center, featuring comprehensive outpatient services and three 28-bed secure private psychiatric care units.

The 80,000 SF, three-story Administration Building features multiple sustainable innovations, such as daylighting to over 85% of space and flexible modular arrangements and utilization of the facility.

A 60,000 SF Independent Research Facility is designed for flexibility of use, and connects to the main acute care hospital, simplifying function movement between clinical and research environments.
