Cancer Treatment Services International Hyderabad, India Project Type: New Construction Cancer Treatment Services International (CTSI) selected Astorino to provide architecture, engineering and interior design services for a new 350,000 SF Cancer Treatment Center in the city of Hyderabad in central India. Designs for the new facility include, inpatient care, outpatient care, radiation oncology, and infusion therapy imaging. The Center is an early venture at providing Western-style medicine, while still accommodating the cultural needs of the region. Medical oncology will feature individual private infusion suites to accommodate large family participation in the treatment process. CTSI will be equipped with four linear accelerators to support a high volume of patients. The facility will be staffed and managed by American-trained personnel and has been designed to conform to international JCAHO standards. Current plans specify that the construction utilize Western techniques that differ from current Indian standards.
